since really, the only thing we need at the moment is money (taking two weeks off of work to travel to florida for a wedding and brief honeymoon ain’t gonna be cheap, y’all :/), a friend suggested this idea.. i’ve seen them at weddings before, and it’s adorable. i know that in the old school (read: my extremely conservative southern family) it’s considered kinda tacky to ask for cash as a gift but.. well. we just don’t need furniture or appliances, as we have no place of our own to put them right now. i’d been trying to think of a tactful way to let everyone know ‘hey just give us all your money’ and i think this is an excellent idea. :)

we’ll probably also do a money dance, come to think of it.

my mom sent me this picture earlier today. i am in love with this dress. .. now if only i can re-find it. hm.

so, much to the chagrin of my baby sister, i did it. i made a tumblr for our wedding. i don’t really have a good reason for it other than needing a central location, if you will, to collect all of my squeeings over what flowers/dress/invitations/shoes/whatever i will eventually settle on for this wedding party type theatrical event.
